Definition and Scope of the Capacity Report
The Capacity Report is a document prepared as a result of scientifically determining, based on certain criteria, how many units a company can produce within one year with its existing machinery and workforce. The validity period of the capacity report is 2 years.
Purpose of Preparing the Capacity Report
Capacity reports are prepared to determine the country's industrial production potential and to create a database for economic and strategic plans and programs. The mentioned document is used for transactions related to incentives, quotas, allocations, tenders, imports, and exports, as well as for registration with various public institutions and ministries (such as industrial registry, food registry).

Process of Preparing a Capacity Report
The company applies to the Commercial Certification Coordination Department with the capacity report request form and the required documents attached.
The application is evaluated by the relevant rapporteur.
On a pre-arranged date, the company’s premises are visited together with an appointed expert engineer.
The expert engineer carries out measurements and determinations in accordance with the Capacity Criteria and prepares the report.
After the report is prepared, three copies are compiled and sent to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) for approval.
After TOBB’s approval, one copy is kept in the relevant department of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in the company’s file.
